Kitchen Remodeling Near You is a guide for homeowners planning a kitchen remodel, with a free phone line to local kitchen remodelers. It is not a contractor, does not employ installers and does not hold a contractor license.
Where the figures come from
Town pages use the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, 2020-2024 five-year estimates: how many homes a place has, how many are lived in by their owners, how many are detached houses, and when they were built. Trade wages are the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics for May 2025. Rules on licenses, contracts and permits are quoted from the statute or the agency that wrote them, with a link to the source; a state whose rules have not been read at the source gets general advice and no figures.
Estimates are printed as the Census Bureau publishes them. For small towns they carry a wide margin, so read them as a picture of the town, not as a count.
What the site is not
It is not a directory: it does not list, rank or review companies. It does not quote prices for your kitchen, because a remodel is priced after someone measures it. And it does not tell you that any contractor is licensed or insured: checking that is up to you, and the pages show where to do it.
